Science Fair 2016

Grade 5 students created experiments based on the physical and chemical changes of matter. Students worked in groups to create posters explaining physical and chemical changes using scientific methods and observations. Their experiments included invisible ink, hydrogen bubbles, elephant tooth paste, melting ice and lava lamp. Students were budding scientists!

How We Organise Ourselves - Classifications - Vertebrates and Invertebrates

Why and how do we classify - students worked in groups to sort and classify pictures of different animals in three different ways. The activity ended in a discussion on the reasons for their classifications.







PYP Exhibition 2016 - Setting up


 On the day of the exhibition, students, mentors and parents all came together to set up and prepare for the presentations. Excitement filled the air.

Stage 3 - Taking it Further
 Action - Ways to save the flora, fauna and our planet. Students start work on the 3rd line of inquiry. Discussing ways in which they can put their learning to use in a new situation. All three groups meet with their mentors to come up with a plan and start implementing it.
